Mapping Insights offers a monthly psycho-educational information series, in a supportive group format, that supports families with a member who suffers from (diagnosed) Borderline Personality Disorder and to families experiencing a family member with undiagnosed but related issues of emotional dysregulation, crises involving attempts or threats of suicide and other destructive behaviors.
We engage in the process of helping people to perform at the peak of their abilities by drawing out their strengths, bypass their personal barriers and limitations and helping them function more effectively as team members. The emphasis is on both task and relationship. Coaching also emphasizes multiplicative change, concentrating on defining and achieving specific goals. We are highly solution-focused and promote the development of new strategies for feeling, thinking and acting.
Our approach demonstrates the mapping sequence involved in the multi-level skills acquisition process of key success factors. We guide people to learn about new environments and circumstances; we coach people to improve on specific behavioral competencies; we teach people new cognitive capabilities; we mentor people with empowering beliefs and values; we sponsor people to grow at the identity level; and we awaken people’s awareness of the larger system to which they want to belong.
